when you denied it & they said they believed the elder, you should've asked if the "2 witnesses" rules applied there as well. ;-0
Have you ever insulted an elder or you know someone that did it?

Not me but I once watched an older sister I think she was in her 90's by then every so polity correct and elder. It was funny as this lady had been JW her whole life and had an encyclopaedic knowledge of JW doctrine so if he'd tried to argue the point he would have lost! He was so pissed at her.

When I was 16 the song "short people" came out.
We left a copy on the door step of a very short pompous elder!

When I was "new in the truth" and still thought that following the spirit of the Scriptures was what counted, I 'counseled' an elder who was a family friend. My husband and I had been at his family's home for dinner, when I observed him kick a small kitten down a set of basement stairs because it was mewing at the door.
I subsequently heard from his son about this elder's mistreating one of his dogs as well. I couldn't take any more. I am extremely sensitive about animal cruelty (especially if cats are involved). A few days later at the KH (but in private), I 'shared a scripture' with the elder/friend about the incident--the verse in Proverbs that says "the righteous one is caring for the soul of his domestic animal, but the mercies of the wicked one are cruel."
He took the 'counsel' without much ado, but the son later related about how this man had reacted in private to his family. Apparently the son got told in no uncertain terms that he'd better not be telling any more family secrets or there would be T-R-O-U-B-L-E. Oh, and BTW, I told them I would take the cat, if they wanted to get rid of it. They did, and I did.

Oh yeah, the Presideing Over. He hated my guts. I called him a hypocrite right in front of the friends.
I had a part on the service meeting, having to do with the magas. The Awake was on in-laws, since I was engaged to be married in just a short month, I made a comment about having enjoyed the article "because as you all kow, I will be gettingt in-laws very soon." the audience laughed. P.O. took me aside and told me the stage was not for telling jokes, that this was a serious matter.
Well that Sunday, the P.O. was giving the public talk and he used the stage as a comedy bit, telling jokes and laughing. When he got off the stage, I pointed a finger at him and side: "What was that??? You have the nerve to chastise me for making a funny comment and you go up there as if it show time at the apollo? You hypocrite you!" and walked away! He was so dumfounded, he didn't know what to say!

I and some other teenagers once complained about elders drinking too much... Result: we are threatened with DF if speaking about it.... The wife of one elder did not speak to me for half a year
I pointed out to an elder that having champagne breakfasts was improper (Yes, I suppose I was overly righteous)... ;-)
I scorned an elder stating that I was happy not being brought up as a child within the JWs while I was an elder myself (got bad conscious and apologised to the PO for stating this)... He had the guts to state that us having babies/small kids could not feed them during the meeting cause it was written in a Kingdom Ministry article that it was improper to eat and drink during a meeting. I was furiously mad at him.

Yep
Had an elder try to "counsel" (read insult) me in front of my then wife and in my home. I told him to watch his mouth and yes he knew I was about to punch him right where the insult came from. We had a mutual, long standing dislike for one another.
He left. Ahhh, the memories......
