Imperfect or not is a red herring- it is not at issue here. The question is are they God's channel of truth. Evrything will always come back to that.

If you claim they are God's channel of truth, on what basis? They have admitted at time to eing imperfect, but in the tone of complaining, as though others pick on them. They do not call their errors erros, they call them unrealized expectations, zeal, etc. The same errors by other groups they call errors, false prophecies, or worse.

I think all have doubts, many of those could be labeled as serious. The apostate thoughts are there with almost all the JW's.

There is a line you have to cross to be an 'apostate'

You have to verbalize it and not back down when admonished, and do this in front of two witnesses willing to testify against you.

It doesn't even have to be a scriptual disagreement. (see Birthdays) Most JW's view this as a test of their loyalty to the org. or really to the GB.

    How serious is serious?

A Bethel Elder told me in discussion, much in Genesis is not to be trusted and sited several examples. He viewed it as just being reasonable in the thought process. He wasn't concerned enough to make it an issue publicly. He wasn't upset with the WTS, he could easily rationalize his thoughts with the WTS.

Later, he moved to the WT writing staff.

Next week there will probably be some kind of loyalty test to the WT writers on Genesis? lol (this happened in the '80's)

You have shown on this thread you have at least some doubts. You doubted that the Wt really means never when they said no remarrying.

The fact that you are on a website that the GB, at the very, very least STRONGLY discourages, that you do not follow that storng counsel from them shows that you have some sort of doubt regarding it. Claims are claims but actions speak louder than words.

    LOL actions speak

The Wt is clear on that. Coming here is fine. But, also shows you have some sort of doubt regarding the WTs warnings about being here.

If it may be changed in the new scrolls as you says, then you have some sort of doubt that what is now taught is correct. That is the definition of doubt.
