Hair dye not allowed at Beth-hell

    Someone recently told this story.

A current Bethelite says she is not permitted to get her hair dyed in the Beth-hell hair salon. They only provide it to drones over the age of 35, or something along those lines. Something about being too focused on one's appearance.

I suppose the real reason is they don't want to shell out the $2.99 for a mere underling.

She could dye it herself....perhaps getting the hair dye donated by her family. I wonder what they do with the unfortunate people who start turning gray at 25 like in my family?

Boy, Bethel is really getting cheap! I bet the women at Bethel are praying that nylon stockings will be the next to go!

Perhaps there is going to be "New Light" that requires the JW woman to wear her hear long and undyed, like the Primitive Baptist women wear it? What's the Bible verse about the woman's hair being like her veil?

    ......burn......

Come-on imagine how many young men they could entice to Bethel if they put out a calendar of bottle blonde's!

Like covering greys are the only reason to tweak your haircolor.....

I bet they would really really p*ssed if she came back sporting some kool-aid colored hair, but hey that is only 10-20¢

So, I guess Bethel does not pay for Bikini Hair dye either.....

(i.e. carpet will match the drapes)

Why they couldn't realize that focusing on one's appearance could have enhanced the ministry--whether one wanted to change their hair color to something that was more attractive, or if one wanted to hide gray hair (at any age). And yes, I notice that many of the witlesses start going gray (noticeably, not just a single gray hair) before they reach age 30.

Something about being too focused on one's appearance.-- So the women over 35 can be 'too focused' on their appearance? Why would they allow any of them to dye their hair then? Or the men don't want to see a bunch of gray haired ladies in Bethhell?

Oh man, what a load of absolute crap!

If they don't want anyone focusing "too much" on their appearance, why not do away with the "salon" altogether? After all, you wouldn't want to be cause for stumbling ... right?
