OTWO, that still doesn't mean that if a person was a JW they automatically were "losing it". Some of the sad experiences of these posters show what can happen if one is truly "losing it".

If you mean that "losing it" is macing the JW's that knock at your door or checking into the psych ward or something dramatic, then I suppose many have not lost it.
The thread title said that, but the question in the first post said:
Were you emotionally or mentally unbalanced at any time while you were a Jehovah's Witness?
I won't argue over whether or not YOU personally felt that you were ever even emotionally "unbalanced" over your experiences.
I see a duck and you see a floating bird that might be a swan. Fair enough.un·bal·anced adj. 1. Not in balance or in proper balance. 2. a. Mentally deranged. b. Not exhibiting sound judgment; irrational. 3. Accounting Not satisfactorily adjusted so that debit and credit correspond. I applied definition 1 and 2b, you might feel that 2a is the one you were referring to.

When people start "losing it" they usually become emotionally and or mentally unbalanced.
I think it would be fair to say since no one is in perfect proper balance, being what we are, then we're all unbalanced.

So yeah, I'm referring to "losing it".

For OTWO, maybe it would have been easier if I substituted unbalanced for "crazy". Does that help?

It's a frigging discussion forum. We are supposed to discuss. Some of us will have different takes. It ain't so serious.

Sorry Min, I think "crazy" is too vague and open to interpretation.
Like, I've always been crazy sexy and crazy smart. But I've never been crazy insane.
How about, "Have you ever been diagnosed as clinically depressed or suffered anxiety attacks? Have you ever been on psychotropic medication?"
Me? Yes, and Yes.

Billy, that's perfect. Yes, crazy is too vague.
