so its sunday and traditionaly time for a roast, i was wondering what everyone thought a perfect roast diinner should include?

    Beef? chicken? lamb? other?

for me it has to have roast chicken, loadsa gravy ( bisto), crispy roast potatoes, stuffing and of course... yorkshire pudding!

my family always had sparkling white with it for some reason

and to finish, a crumble? steamed pudding?

Roast beef, homemade yorkshire pudding (none of that Aunt Bessie's rubbish), roast potatoes and parsnips and homemade gravy. For veg I like any mix of carrots, sprouts, cabbage, snap peas or cauliflower.

IMO, Bisto ruins a good roast. Just mix some flour with the juices from the meat, add some stock and you're done.

    Mmmmmm.

prefer beef n horseradish, lamb n mint sauce close second, but then theres pork crackling n apple sauce.....so any of those as long as its got yorkshire puds, proper crispy all over roast pots, stuffing, roast parsnip, mashed swede, peas

    euw bisto,

prefer oxo if anythings got to be added to the juices.

semolina pudding (with buttery chewy skin on top)

Roast is unheard of in Arizona where I live. But when we traveled to England it was our tradition to hit a Pub for Roast after the Sunday meeting. I favored beef and of course savored a pint before, during, and after the meal.

What would you reccomend to drink with roast?
