    Another tradition when visiting....

Peaches with heavy cream after the Thursday meeting. Not available in Arizona.

After the first bowl, me and my friend would beg for a second helping from his wife. Just like Oliver, "More please!"

Dissed , tinned peaches and cream bring back memories, have not had that for many many years, as regards what to drink with roast, what ever you like , beer/wine anything, some would say a fine claret with beef, nothing wrong with that

It might have been that since I'm of British descendant we always had roast beef dinner on Sundays with the usual complement of Yorkshire pudding

and all the rest and either home made apple pie or still warm cinnamon apple crisp with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top........oh yes

To this day, its still my most favorite dinner meal.

Come to think of it I think I'll pop a roast in the oven tonight

This is making me and the wife want to visit England again. Not been since we left the JW's 13 years ago. All our friends were JW's then.

So we would come for about 10 days or so. But it always included the meetings with our friends in Red Hill, including field service. Yes, we were that blinded.

That only left a little time to tour museums, castles, experiencing plays, pubs,....etc....

What we saw, we loved. Especially the pub meals, a real value. Was glad they let children in to eat for lunch on our last visit.

We're having an old exJW friend and her husband over for dinner tonight. On the menu - Lamb roast with garlic and rosemary, new potatos and string beans. Dessert is chocolate bread pudding with real whipped cream. A wee dram of Old Poulteney or Ardbeg (thank you Ninja) single malt Scotch whiskey to finish it all off.
