When a Witness checks this site out, they could think it's a Jehovah's Witness friendly site. The fact is this site is for anyone interested in Jehovah's Witness things, whether they are still Witnesses or once were or just want to know about Witness life.
What positive ways can we help a Witness on this site?

Don't badger or berate them for their beliefs!
Ask questions, engage in respectful conversation that isn't limited to the WTS!
Treat them as you would if you were still 'in' and they were 'friends'.
Remember that individual JWs hold differing opinions than WTS-partyline opinions, they only open up about them when they feel comfortable and safe.
Be the good Samaritan, practice the golden rule.
Don't go roaring like a lion, rather thread gentle as the lamb.
For those of you like to envoke Jesus' harsh 'viper' words......those words were spoken to Pharisees who at the time were playing theocratic strategy with Jesus........not the R&F!

Sometimes we need "reminders", to be "readjusted" as to what this place is all about. Just because a JW comes onto this site, it doesn't mean they're a "troll". Some Witnesses are very sincere about their beliefs as are exjws. It is helpful when all parties show respect for the other's viewpoints. If a person continued to espouse a differing view, the result is usually some friction or even exasperation. This is a discussion board and the personalities of the posters come out. Being tolerant is not necessarily easy, especially if we we're believing we're 100% right and the other side is dead wrong.

I suppose to each side could excerise all those pointers most of us learned in TMS about 'drawing' out/in householders.....
Just be nice and learn to gracefully agree to disagree.
