JW Children in the USA are expected to do FS with their parents regularly, for the parents not to 'train up' their children in this matter would be considered weak and derelict of their duties as 'true Xian' parents.

I started turning in my time slip when I was 3.

Childhood FS in majority of the congregations is expected if not demanded from the podium.

My children (not counting under those under 5) are the only ones who don't turn in at least 10 hours of FS each month. We have a few 12-15 year olds who put in aux to reg pioneer hours too.

I think you are taking a very good course as a parent in allowing your children to be children and balancing your family's lives...... but for the majority of JWs on this planet your choices are inconceivable.......but again I applaud you, and most JWkids would love to have you/hubby as parents!

thankyou yknot....((hugs)) you were 3!!!!!! 3!!!!!!! how on earth could you even talk about Jehovah? Awwwwwww how sad, 3 is way too young, our youngest isnt 3 till next year, she has been with us, forinstance with her dad or with me and daddy takes our little boy, but she doesnt talk, not about Jah anyway she does sing sometimes songs from her musical tape, lol.....yes we should train our kids and teach them but lets have a balance..kids are kids, cor they arent kids for long so let them play. We let ours splash in puddles....actually our little girl splashed a sister once i was cracking up (im one who once i laugh wont stop, just cant) and i laughed and laughed..the sister wasnt impressed..kids were though :)

maybe im a rare jw..meaning maybe i'll be destroyed at armegeddon.....aslong as hubby and i and our kids all have fun :)

being christlike isnt hard....Jesus yoke is light, but its the people who feel they have something to prove (in the truth i mean) its them who make burdens and make the load heavier
