This is a very provocatively worded question. I was mean to other jws when I was among their number. If you asked me if I enjoyed being mean I would have sincerely denied it. I would have denied that I was being mean at all. I was doing what I was instructed to do: only associate with those who best followed the direction of the WTS. I thought I was doing what would most please God. I enjoyed feeling like I had the moral high ground.
Do JW's enjoy being mean to other JW's?

In a big way - the majority relish being simply mean-spirited. There were quite a few who actively saught ways to get at me as an elder. I was one of the more liberal (not permissive) elders that seemed to be constanly in ones gun-sight. The bitterness and malice that spewed out their mouths was staggering...."So I take your comments as a "yes" that you will lay down your life for me"

This is happening to a member of my family right now. He is friendly and kind to everyone and he doesn't deserve the gossip a couple people started about him. He taking the high road on this. But, I am really upset about this. The brother that started all this gossip is reaching out to be an MS. This really shows how sincere he is. Idiot.
