This is so interesting - it has been building for years.

I am suprised that the WTBS isnt loved in Russia - seeing as how the organization is run SO SIMILAR to the old Soviet style of government.

Governing Body = Supreme Soviet

Congregations - City Soviets

Elders, CO, and DO = KGB

CT Russell = Lenin

Rutherford = Stalin

Knorr = Gorby

Fred Franz = Rasputin

The comparisons are endless and frightening!

The Russian government is like any other though - they hate competition!

LOVE FOR STALIN = HAPPY NATION!

There are several items about the Russian situation on their own website.

Personally , I am against censorship and stifling the freedom of expression, even if that has to include J W's . They would do better to get some tips here on here on how to discredit them by their own words.

It`s not so good for the JW`s in the Country of Persecution..

But..

It`s a Gold Mine for the WBT$,in other countrys..

Mallowi was great advertising for the WBT$ in Canada..

Canadian JW`s had a Field day promoting that..

There was no shortage of new JW Recruits during that era,in Canada..

I feel bad for the members who live in Russia who will be loyal and suffer for a cause that is based on a lie. Especially the kids.

One side of me is applauding this action and wished the entire world would follow suit, and frankly, deep down .....I agree with Outlaw's comments.....

but the practical side of me knows this would see the WTS increase as in the days prior to 1975....[shudder]...so it is not going to bring about the success that I would so enjoy seeing done to this evil and damaging cult.
