I am sure this is one way she has to make you feel bad that you are missing boasting sessions. The idea is that you will feel at fault for this problem, and will start going back to the boasting sessions. Before long, it will be all the boasting sessions, and they will start hounding you back in field circus as well.
Better to get some worldly friends--of course, the witlesses don't like that because that would avoid this problem. This way, they can use you and make you feel bad for not going.

I'm sorry that your mom hasn't made any friends outside of WT. It must be very difficult for her.
Perhaps she won't find what she's looking for at the KH.
At FIRST, the folks at the Hall will put on a 'Prodigal Son Returns' dog and pony show. They WON'T, however, forget that she left in an act of disloyalty, with her apostate son. She may very well see this.

Has she tried volunteering to be "baby-rocker" at a local hospital? Or at the local library? Or about senior fitness classes at the gym? Plently of older women do that and make friends in the process.
Maybe she's just used to the instant "friendship" that comes with being a JW.
I appreciate all the comments about what mom should do ... but if you knew my mom like me ... fogedaboudit ... she is very sweet and loving but she has this air of superiority about her that no one really likes, sad to say. It's either her line of thinking or your wrong (kinda like me with regards to conspiracy theories ;-). All kidding aside. It would honestly be best for her at the moment. Like leavingwt said ... she may not find find what she's looking for. But I am kinda looking forward to this for the following reasons:
I grew up in that Kingdom Hall since I was 5 years old. They all saw me grow up, become a pioneer, ministerial servant and left from that hall to go to Bethel in Wallkill and New York then become an Elder. The ones that could go would visit me. When I would come back, I would give talks and go out in service. Everyone had me over. You know, I was a Bethelite woo-hoo! What blessings from Jehovah. All the parents wanted me to encourage their sons to go the bethel.
They had high expectations for me. I was supposed to become the Presiding Overseer but I got sick as soon as I arrived from New York. Soon I got depressed and had suicidal thoughts...go figure. At that low point of my life I said F it and google jehovah's witnesses which led me hear.
I am known as the apostate now, I wonder why, go figure. Anway. Growing up in the borg, I use to get scared/nervous whenever the word apostate was mentioned. So my appearance at the KH or oustide of it when I pickup moms should make for some good videos. I will load my car with a cam so that all can see the lunacy behind the name/organization.
I e-mailed an elder to see how it can be arranged. I am sure they are calling an elders meeting on this one. Well, let the hilarity ensue.
I was thinking of making a www.jehovahs-witness.net sticker to place on my car so that when the meeting was over they could see it.
The possibilites are endless!

The title is misleading ... I'm not going with her ... I may go on occasion or just to pick her up. She could care less at this point if I attend or not.
