I know we are getting way out of corn season, but I still planted my corn seedlings in the back yard. So far they are growing quite well.
Now we need to see what happens when the weather turns cold.

Watch out - Monsanto might sue you.
I waited about two weeks and the seedlings have stopped growing. By this time a normal corn plan would be about two feet tall with a nice stalk forming. The seedlings I planted grew into leafs about 6 - 8 inches tall and stopped growing and have no stalk.
It's very obvious that the popcorn kernels were somehow deactivated. Probably hybrids.
As Billy put it:

Thank God, it's about popcorn.
