The Biblical resurrrection hope has morphed over the centuries and continues to do so to this day. If we rely on the Bible to explain what happens after death we find no ironclad doctrine to explain what happens. Men have expressed many "hopes" for an afterlife in the Bible. Also, it remains to be proven, if the men who wrote the verses quoted did so under spiritual guidance. Nice article in wikipedai about resurrection beliefs. As many JW's have discovered, the paradise earth "hope' is based on a contrived interpretation of a handful of Bible verses. Most JW's just don't see that and entire chapters of spritual food from the FDS that start out with an "If" or a "perhaps" are really just human opinion- nothing you can take to the bank.
No where in the bible does it say that people will be raised from the dead...

Nice post Moshe :)
The thing JWs are missing is the Holy Spirit.
When you are born again you receive the guarantee of your hope. I know this hope. It is impossible to explain but it is there, deep in my spirit.
This is nothing like JWs have, an uncertain hope based on (false) teaching in the mind of something far off ("paradise earth"). Mine is here and now, the kingdom in at hand, within me, at my core, not just my mind.
2 Corinthians 1:21-22 (New International Version)
21 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
2 Corinthians 5:5 (New International Version)
5 Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
All the best,
Stephen

This is how I feel. There are many things I don't understand or can't quite grasp and I oftentimes ask "Why" Then I recall the Apostle Paul's thorn in his flesh and how he asked God to remove it and God's reply was that His grace was sufficient for Paul.
When in doubt, I use Faith as my measuring rod. Faith in God's wisdom, that he has a purpose. Faith that I don't need all the answers right now to do what I need to do. I just wish I had those answers to pass on to others.
The Holy Spirit directs God's children in a faith-based path thru life. It enables God's children to discern the intentions of the heart of others and cuts thru BS like a sharp two-edged sword. It reveals Truth where there is falsehood and sheds light in the darkest of places, places where Hope has been diminished. If we had all the answers, there would be no faith, hence no trust.
