It probably wasn't actionable stuff or was but fell in the Politically Correct zone. In other words he was saying stuff that was about Islam and fellow muslims and given a pass that if were said by a white supremist towards his cause would have gotten the guy busted so fast he would have been looking at a Court Martial.
