One can find Arianism in "2000 years of Christian theology" too

Incorrect, because of ample proof texts that Jesus was, and is, God. You can't have both.

I agree Arianism is not in the bible, but there have been people claiming to be "Christians" trying to make the claim that it is, throughout church history.

We've gone at it before and you come across as petty and insincere.

What do you call hyjacking someone elses thread? You wanted to impose the trinity on a thread, that wasn't about the trinity.

And the sheer weight of the Roman Catholic Church and virtually all Protestant denominations stands behind these doctrines.

Hmm, maybe that's the problem. You're putting your faith in a church. I want to put my faith in God. So could you please quote a few verses from scripture that teach that the "economic aspect of the Trinity includes the created humanity of Jesus, who was not God". I can quote verses all day that say otherwise.

I'm not aware of a single Protestant denomination that would stand behind that statement. It's not the "economic aspect of the Trinity" that I have a problem with, it's the "the created humanity of Jesus, who was not God" that I have a problem with.

    Joseph,

Its the magic of these early Bishops, imaging a god having a magic wand who waves it around and *bling* things become whatever is necessary to fill their theory. No science here, no proof, just *bling*. They tried to reimagine things from the early Jewish origins of Christianity and add a pinch or two from the playbook of Plato and Socrates. They made a few mistakes in their theory and formula. Now everything is god.

    designs,

Yes, pretty much the way things developed in an attempt to control people the way the WT does. If it is something that they cannot really grasp well then all the better. Confusion works in their favor. Take Mohamed for example. He takes information from the OT about Abraham, adds in some things about Jesus from the NT, fills in the rest with thoughts of his own. The result was that millions of people believe him as if it was truth. Now such followers do all that they can to kill the Jews responsible for this OT that were spoken of as the seed of Abraham and any offshoot of the Jewish faith like Christians in NT texts that resulted from them. Hate, that is what really comes from such thinking yet they take it as salvation. Stamp them out as infidels they cry happily. This is simply more of that but embedded in the faith itself.

    Joseph,

Yes for many centuries the racial and ethnic hatred for the Jews was the rally cry of the Trinitarians and propelled them to concoct their theory of hypostatic unionism. The Church of Rome's verbage on the 'perfidy of the Jews', Martin Luther's rants against the Jews was all pretty telling in their efforts to reconfigure the Monotheism of the Jews.

Funny thing is in their feeble attempts to redefine things they made a God a Jew...........Oooops!

The trinity doctrine was developed to help people understand the relationship between God, Jesus and the HS.

Especially those that came over from Judaisim and were trying to embrace the New Covenant, a covenant where Jesus is Lord, Saviour, Judge and redeemer, where everything comes through Jesus from God. These things were the role of God in the OC and now they were Jesus's, many had a hard time reconciling this:

    EX:

If the OC tells us that God is our saviour and lord, does that mean the with Jesus being lord and saviour that God is "out fo the picture"?

No, of course not, so what is God's role and who is Jesus to be Lord and saviour? and if only God can judge, But has given Judgement to Jesus, does that mean that Jesus is God ?

One can see where the doctrine of the trinity began to "unfold", but it is doctrine nevertheless and nowhere is it plainly stated that there is a God that is One god but 3 persons, we can come to that conclusion based on interpretation, but it is NOT stated plainly or beyond debate, that there God is a Trinity of personalities.

Again, one can choose to accept the Trinity doctrine or not, it is not need for salvation.

    PS,

Many modern Christians are less concerned with doctrine and more concerned with practicing the Golden Rule and helping out with the real problems facing humanity. But officially the Creeds spell out that to not accept this doctrine is a salvation issue and persons are to be treated as 'Athema'.

By any metric of moral or ethical standards this racist doctrine that has compelled humans to commit such atrocities against other humans fails.

How any xjw could join in support of it shows how difficult it is to shed the attraction of cults.

DD, study your Church History and the language of the Church of Rome's Mass, study Luther's homelies and Calvin's views against the Jews.

You're as ignorant as they come about this vile doctrine that has been rallying cry to murder millions of innocent people over the centuries.
