Straight to the police is the only answer, why piss around talking to some dumb ars elders, don't these people see that their children are hurting & these elders have never satisfactorly delt with it, it's a serious crime (deserving the death penalty) and the police need to know, my 2 cents worth

blondie, Id rather have been charged with slander than rest with the knowledge of buggery or rape. - thats the danger, if people are afraid that they would be DFd then they are so far in they cant see whats real. :(

Most are too far in. I have seen in person how people are manipulated by the elders. These are the people who are told at every meeting just about that the elders are appointed by God through holy spirit and that disobeying them is the same as disobeying God. These same people have non-jws demonized at most meetings especially government and law enforcement. But then did you have your assertions tested in the realm of real life?

You have to remember, that JW's are constantly groomed to be dependant. And to learn not to trust themselves.
"Do not rely upon your own understanding"
We were constantly told that the FDS was our means to salvation. IF we did not follow the elders direction we were "running ahead of Jehovah"
These people that claim that they would go to the police first must not have been very good JWs.

asphere - I wasnt a good one and I am proud of that fact. I kept my wits about me. - I'd rather admit to being a crap JW than admit to glossing over child abuse or losing my kids to a blood refusal.

But then again, I do not believe in allowing others to define us.

I can find no difinition that includes joining a new religion. You just have to be disloyal or leave and your an apostate according to all definitions I've found.
Even the society would agree with that difinition.
Of course JW's themselves are apotates, they left the "bible students" and became "Jehovahs Witnesses" and that makes them apostates. The Bible students are still alive and very active, google them, it's very interesting. They see Russell as there founding father just like JW's do. Russell was a Bible student he was never a JW.
When the JW's splintered off from the BS's, even though they took the majority of members with them, they became apostates.
I welcome anyone to prove me wrong.
