But shouldn't he have taken this opportunity to preach about God's Kingdom?? Think of all the millions of people that could have tuned in to hear this 'good news' from a guy who's just been sentenced to life in prison for killing his wife.

This is just speculation on my part, but I'm wondering if the fact that so many Witnesses live in a dream world and consider themselves 'above' everyone else, that they figure they'll never get caught when they commit a crime. Either that, or he's just an emotionless bastard. Despite the eerie similarities between this case and the Scott Peterson case, Scott Peterson is actually lucky that he's on death row and sequestered away from other prisoners, otherwise he'd probably already be dead. Kelle Jarka will be housed in with some of the most violent criminals in the country now, where he will almost certainly have the living shit beat out of him, not to mention becoming someone's "b*tch".

I posted elsewhere that the DO counseled at this last weekend's assembly for publishers to respond humbly to bad reports in the media about JWs. He offered no talking points, no rebuttals, however.

Just listen humbly.

That should be responded to. They told the sheeple the same thing right before the Dateline story hit the air.

What needs to be addressed is, imho: Holy SPIT has nothing at all to do with people being appointed elders or anyone's standing in the congregation. A murderous, calculating, bastard was in good standing. You can kill with impunity, he can say he's sorry and they'll visit him right up until the needle goes in his arm.

So, they tell the "publishers" to just listen, and use their controlled mind to find the truth whilst hearing how the GB is God's Chosen Channel. Hand me a barf bag.
