    Good question, maybe because they are GEEKS!!! I bet if they combined a district covention with a Star Trek convention so many more witnesses would be in attendance!!! Seriously, I heard that at Bethel when Star Trek was on everyone there was watching it and the place was "practically shut down".....Weird.

    I think, because their choice of entertainment is pretty small anyway,

    Star Trek has no sex, only limited violence (mostly against non-humans anyway), no profanity, and most important it is not demonized by standards of JW. Other popular movies like Harry Potter or Lord of the rings are often considered satanic, so if somebody likes fantasy, he has to swich to harmless sci-fi, like star trek...

    besides that, they are pretty cool though
