Just another comment on the show and how they select people to go on as one of the competitors.

Why do they insist on putting people on that they know have no chance in hell of winning or at best make themselves look like

fumbling fools, like 300 ld. linebackers and 60 year old congressman and then select people who are professional dancers,

singers and entertainers. To me this doesn't seem fair and is off balanced. The producers of the show are of wanting to put celebrities

on the show to increase in viewership but even in that pool of celebrities/entertainers they could select individuals that may

produce something entertaining to watch. Keeping the age limit to under 40 for example would be a good move.

They could actually tighten up the competition to create better dancing over all and also make for better viewing.

Interesting isn't that the two top competitors in the dance off were professional song and dance entertainers, Mya and Donny.

We were discussing this at work today. Consensus: It's not a dance competition, its a voting competition. It is fun to watch, tho.

I'm pretty sure the panel of judges saw Mya as the winner too, but obviously the voting public has more prevalence.

My vote was on Mya just for her beauty and pose throughout the event

Mya was the leader by the panel by points right from the middle of the competition. go figure

I'll admit Maya was a good dancer, but she laid the makeup on with a trowel and she just seemed very fake to me. I'll give her this, she has drive and tenacity, but so did all of them. What made Kelly Osborne so great was that she was/is REAL. You got to see her grow and achieve something, watch her self confidence go from practically nothing to where she was proud of her achievement.

This show isn't about turning out polished professional dancers that will win a contract in Vegas, if so they would advertise it like that. Its about the human psyche and about developing into something.

I don't like the Osmands, never have, but I thought his improv dance or whatever it was, was the best one of all three of them. Plus, I expected all the mormans would be rounded up and vote for him anyway. The mormans couldn't buy better PR than Donny Osmand. He isn't sanctimonious, he isn't pious, he has fun, and he seems genuinly a nice guy.

One thing I know about Maya, she will go far and it has nothing whatsoever about winning the program. Everyone knows that on all of these types of shows (America's Got Talent, American Idol, etc.), most often the most talented person does NOT win. And those in the top 5 usually go on to a pretty decent career. I think she did better off by not winning then she would have done by taking home that tacky mirror ball.

    My two cents.

    It's a semi-dancing and popularity contest.

Really, Kelly Osborne? She was falling on her arse ... she had no business being in the final vs the likes of Joanna Krupa who was gorgeous and elegant to watch. Yes, Kelly improved lots ... and she was still rubbish at the end of it.

Mya was the better dancer so she should have won a dancing contest.

Trouble is, they let the public vote. All it really proves is that democracy doesn't work!

Didn't the best dancer win the last contests ?

Which one of the final contestants could proceed on as professional dancer if they were to continue

    through in that direction. ?

The aged Donny Osmond isn't a very good singer neither was he ever a very good dancer this show proved

that without doubt. I'm guessing that the voting public majority is made up of young girls/females and they voting just on puppy love.
