it was a nice quite dinner... smoked pork chops, steamed corn, leftover stuffing (that I drug out of the fridge)... then chocolate cake and coffee...though I still ended up cleaning up the kitchen...lol

she gave me a saucy little card..which I got (understood)...she didnt let her son read the front of the card...even at 8 he might have gotten the inuendo...wouldnt put it past him.

she got me a gift card for Barnes & Noble, a Miles Davis CD ...she knows I love music, esp blues and jazz...

and a gadget (a keychain with a blue light and if you clap your hands it beeps...though that part I haven't gotten to work consistently)....she knows I like shiny gadgets... and I laughed out loud when she gave it to me...I am always losing that second set of keys in my car when I am working)......and a small box of Ferrara chocolate nuts..actually her son grabbed the whole pile out of a Target sack and threw them in my arms...so much for surprises...lol...

the camera comes later but I took a few pics with my old work camera...will post later when I am more wide awake...

more important than any of the gifts.....she is the greatest gift I could ever have. How damn lucky could I be?

Funny....I bet many people take their birthday, and the celebrating of it, for granted. Those who posted happy first are right in away...my first since starting on the road -- and gift -- of freedom.
