People need cubes in their cars for when they are stuck and stopped in traffic.

    ,

If there is a math dylexia, I have it, too. I cannot keep a checkbook. I cannot add a long row of numbers.

    I know!!!!

I keep a puzzle book in my car for times when I have to wait. I also like sudoku.

I truly believe that people who do puzzle-y things keep their brains active much longer than others!!

Unfortunately, I did not inherit a math gene at all......words, languages, patterns.....that's my bag!

    Good luck on solving it.

You've inspired me to get one and try it out again.....

We are two peas in a pod. I'm the resident OCD editor around here, and I take my job very seriously

Love sudoku and can solve them with little problem. Very good with wordfinds and criss-crosses.

No math gene here. I looked.

I like to say, "I have CDO. It's like OCD except the letters are in the right order, LIKE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE!!!"

Gee it has been a very long time for me, but I am sure that I have solved it several times. I am very good at math, I use to have some one tell me large numbers as they type them into a calculater and tell me if they are adding, subtracting, deviding, or muliplying as much and in any combo they chose and when ever they would stop I always had the correct answer.

    trueblue, You make me sick.

If I bought something yesterday for $15, I can't remember today if i paid $15, $51, $1.51.......so damn many combinations.....

I HATE numbers. I hate algebra. How can letters be numbers???? It's not right.

How am I graduating with a Master of Science when I don't know math, either? I learned it when I needed it, and badly at that, and then promptly forgot it.

palmtree67, I am sure you have some special gift.

Memory is something that can be exercised by relating things that you want to remember in real bizzar ways. Like if you want to remember that you left your eye glasses on a television set, imagine lightning striking the antenna and electric current running all the way thru the wires and thru the tv then your eyeglasses glowing with light. That is the basics on how to exercise the memory. To remember combonations of numbers try adding parts that equal another number or relate the numbers with something else you all ready know. I have heard of people relating numbers and other thing to colors. Find what works for you and keep doing it and it gets better.

To do large math in my head I added or subtract or what ever by imaginary 0's then put the numbers back in when I was done. It has been a long time sense I have done it so it would take some time to remember just how I did it.

I did not know I could do algebra until about a year ago. I have noticed lately I can't remember how to spell a lot of words lately.

    Take Care
