Meeting JunkieNM, you make of Christmas what you will, it's nothing like they told us. I love it, and I'm an atheist! To me it's the peace on earth good will toward men thing.

A Charlie Brown Christmas, and Elf, and Miracle on 34th st., and It's a Wonderful Life. Absolutely must watch these movies. There's so many more, you guys are lucky, you have all the newness ahead of you.

At my place of employment, they changed "MERRY CHRISTMAS" to "HOLIDAY GREETINGS" to respect all religions. I don't understand this. Christmas is a Christian holiday. I wouldn't tell a Jew to change Hanukkah because I wasn't Jewish. It's complete nonsense! For those who don't wish to celebrate because of "Christ" being the reason for the season - then don't, but let those who acknowledge December 25th as CHRISTMAS use and say ...

Well, it might be active until 2010. But, once the holidays wind down, it will die. That is to be expected because no one is going to be thinking Merry Christmas once Easter gets here and gone.
