"Put Jehovah First...." what does this mean? Anyone?

  It means don,t have any life whatsoever outside of the mindset of the borg, think breathe nothing else and if you do you this you will get the blessings, unfortunately they never seem to come.

  What putting Jehovah first means giving up your chance to be happy and fulfilled in order to do His will. College? Sacrifice it, and do field circus more. Want to get married? Forget about it--you have that Value Destroyer Training School, a stay at Beth Hell, or traveling missionary work first. Want to make enough money to enjoy the finer things of life? The money would be better put into the religion, and the time better spent as a missionary. And so on.

  Supposedly "those [other] things will be added". But, this is a parable--putting God's kingdom first, as depicted by religion, means sacrificing those [other] things. More specifically, those other things will be subtracted: health, wealth, and wisdom are found in pursuing worldly things and taking a well balanced scientific approach to things (and by having Jehovah staying the f*** out of it).
