Is it really pretending for us born/raised or is it an automatic trained response?
My theory is that every ExJW can resume the 'persona' in the blink of an eye!
Afterall isn't being JW 98% faking spirituality while trying to fit in at the KH and not be seen as 'weak'?
I could pull it off, but would spend ALOT of time in the restroom - vomittiing.
I think I would also develop a nervous tick from too much *warm* association.
I'm not good at poker, either.

We get imposters here frequently,they stick out like a sore thumb..

How easy is it to pretend to be a spirtual JW?
Going by the number of pedophiles and other scam artists that lurk within the ranks of the publishers (and higher) it's pretty damn easy...
This is a religion that relies on the perception of being spiritual...not actual spirituality. It's built around the concept of appearing to do the right thing...that's why people with criminal intent are able to pretend to be a good JW all the while planning their scam or other heinous behavior.

they take your actions as proof, not what you think or say... that can be your 'personality quirk'
but walk the talk of answering up/marking the WT/ regular saturday F/S etc and your in!

My only weakness would be lack of new publications like the song book. Other than that - I feel I've a few decades round-the-clock specialist training for this mission.
I couldn't do it. I'd throw up everywhere as soon as the song started.
i am pretending it.but one day if i am caught doing something unscriptural i would be disfellowshipped
