so what does God do? Just watch, it seems.
If God Truly Cared About People Wouldn't He DO SOMETHING By Now?

Romans 9:21
Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel to honor and another to dishonor? 22What if God, willing to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction; 23 and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy which He had before prepared to glory;

God already has done something. He has distressed us--which is the something. The purpose for distressing us is to provide fake hope for deliverance from this distress, along with stipulations (self serving ones) for that deliverance. Of course, it never comes in your lifetime, but you are supposed to p*** away your life anyways trying to gain this fake deliverance.

Wiz, many on this thread want to focus on what men should do to make things better. They choose to ignore the obvious---that God watches everything wicked and simply doesn't stop it. If you accept the Bible, God CAN do something but he refuses to (until Armageddon).

I don't think you can attribute desire or caring to The Almighty should He/She/It exist.
Given the power we attribute to God, it is unreasonable to suppose God is fettered by petty human notions such as proving Himself or needing to balance some (anthropomorphic) idea of perfection lost with some (anthropomorphic) idea of perfect sacrificed.
Maybe it's time to stop limiting God to accounting formulas or human emotion. If such a thing exists, it would act or get off the pot. That is doesn't is pretty conclusive regarding this God person, as He is envisioned by most.

thetrueone makes a good point. Mankind has done more for mankind in the last 100+ years than God has.
As a percentage of earth's population the following ills are down: poverty, hunger, disease, crime.
Even wars over the last half-century have only generally killed tens of thousands rather than the hundreds of thousands or even millions that they did in the previous 100 years.
Religious people like JWs and others like to say the world is worse than it has ever been. IT IS A LIE.

So, it cannot be refuted that God, if he exists, isn't doing a damn thing to bring about paradise on earth or heaven. Facts are facts. Putting blinders on doesn't change a thing!

It's called common grace.
For the vessels of wrath, things will get much worse.
