I think I know what Outlaw is doing too - my suggestion - just 'run' with him, you may find he's being more helpful than it appears at the moment

I have a feeling that he's trying to pick my brain so that I provide the answers for myself, showing me that I knew how to help myself in the first place.

Or he's just being the behind that belongs to that doggie of his.

I cannot provide any more details that what I already have on an open forum. I'm desperately lost, but not completely stupid.

I go peoples houses (or place of work, or coffee shop) and talk to them about life and health insurance...if they sign up,get through underwriting and accept their plan, I make a handsome commision. The commisions are paid from the company with which I am associated with. Im not sure what else you'd need to know that I haven't provided already.

I usually spend between 3 - 5 days formulating a business plan after undertaking a least a day of investigative work, including interviewing key personnel. To knock something up the day before it is due would be impossible for me and I have written business plans and proposals for 15 years. Sorry

Thanks though. I've emailed another member of the support team, and they are going to forward theirs to me for reference, add that to what Bohm posted, I think I'm good to wing something at him. Seriously, it's going into a file, and probably wont ever be looked at again. Its just a matter of jumping the hoop.

Hi I have done many business plans. I usually start with an industry specific template and modify it to suit my needs. I have included some links to some insurence industry ones as well as a link to a software program that is industry specific. By the way usually you need to have done some research beforehand in order to write your plan.

Take Mrs. Jones up on her offer for the 1 page business plan..Use Bohms plan.. Or..Make your own..

On it..

Tell how your going to make contacts..Cold call/Phone call/Advertising/Ect..

Maybe a Mailing campaign..Using promotonal material provided by your company to advertise your services..

Tell how your going to take use and explain promotional material to potentual customers..

Always take as much promo material as offered....And....Use it..

Read up on suggestions provided by the company to expand your business and include them on your plan..

Kinda like the Watchtower study..Find the answers provided..LOL!!

You should be able to present a decent business plan,using what you have at hand..

Could you EMail one of the existing insurance salespeople and crib the information they used for their metting?

Feign illness or try to rearrange a different meeting time?

It does sound more like your manager is going to want to see how you aim to meet sales targets. Will you focus on a few high value sales or lots of small ones, are you a specialist in a certain sector? It's a tricky one if you're new to the game. Hopefully whatever in house or professional training needed to get your certificate might give you some ideas.

I've a Business degree, but it's mostly like Outlaw says I'm afraid.
