AwSnap, you have totally harshed my buzz...!
How I love female vocalists, and hate "girly" singers (of either gender):
James Blunt - more like a knife wound deep into the liver than fingernails on chalkboard.
Whoever sings "Halo" (I sing along with that, "I can see your A-hole..."), which my SO has burned onto CD and therefore into my very soul (and not in a good way).
"Umbrella" - oh God, another repeated syllable ad nauseum tune. No matter who does it.
"Toxic" - is that Britney Spears? At least I can understand artistically where the other tunes want to go (I just despise that place) - but this one...WTF?
I'd have a longer list, but my car radio is tuned to NPR so I only hear any of it when I'm in someone else's car.
I actually love some of the songs nominated for eternal burning on this thread, but I'll enjoy them in the privacy of my own head out of respect for youse all.

I've had "Hey Santa" by Carnie and Wendy Wilson stuck in my head for days. I decided I didn't need to suffer through it alone.

Dare I say, anything by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, or Led Zeppelin. Not that the music is bad, but after listening to this stuff for 40 years I've had enough. Every time I turn on the local "classic rock" station that's all I hear.
Am I the only one on earth who knows there's more to "classic rock" than just the Beatles, Rolling Stones, or Led Zeppelin?

Just for the record, JeffT, I like all of the songs you listed with the exception of Britany Spears. Every song she sings sounds like she's trying to avoid vomiting. Anyway, I like all music, but the Beatles song, "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" annoys me to no end. My mother told me that that song was continuously played on the radio while she was suffering morning sickness while pregnant with me.

I'd be so lucky if the local 'classic rock' station played more of those artists. The station in my area plays so much Eagles, Bob Seger and Boston I can't stand it anymore. I have the albums, if I wanna listen to them, I'll put em on so please, for the love of all that's holy in rock music, please, please don't play Hotel California again for at least a month.
But then again, that's why I quit listening to the radio. It just plain sucks. Even the stations that play the music I grew up with don't when to stop shoving it down our throats till we're sick of it.
