Merry Xmas Blues Brother. The sun is just peeping through the clouds here in Hampshire, the kids are watching TV upstairs and me and nugget are having a nice cup of tea. It is just nice not to have to think about work for a few days.
Merry Xmas - all you lurkers and everyone else.
For the last few years I have spent Christmas alone. This year, today, I will be seeing my brother and his kids (yay!).
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and an excellent New Year.
IM happy my sister is here. - everyone has their own plans. my friends were good enough to include me last year, but I do feel quite lonely to be honest. - I miss my mum and my brother/nephews/nieces, while they all get together and 'not celebrate christmas' yea right.
I havent seen my mum for a year, she called in and seemed to be very offended by the tree.
all I can say is at least I have my Helen and my Kids. but I still dont feel too merry. x
CREATIVHONEY- Hugs to you from me and my wife. I'm glad you have your sister and your kids. My wife and I are going over to her parents for a ham dinner. My son can't come with his girlfriend as he's been working too much and is exhausted. But we saw him and his girlfriend Thanksgiving weekend . Hang in there kiddo things will brighten up. If only all the lonely JW's would be going door to door with all the other lonely JW's like they're supposed to! Bwahahah! I kid.
By the way Highdose, excellent thread ! Very well worded and expressed by you . It is so true that I've found many non-witness people to be a lot more loving and authentic than many witnesses I used to know. And yet they claim to be " Christian " ? Something's wrong with that picture

Hmmm....this gives me an idea. Maybe next year, put an ad on craigslist and elsewhere. Are you a JW? And then offer up a place to spend the day, have dinner and socialize, insist I am not an apostate and this is not a Christmas celebration. It might work for someone.
Why would a JW ever be lonely? If the weather is bad for d2d, you can always spend the day phone witnessing or letter writing. And you can always go clean the Kingdumb Haul for the "friends".
