Please do yourself a favor and research the JW's. They are a a group that will control every facet of your life. They will decide who you can associate with including family members. If you are married they will even tell you what you can do or not do in your sex life. In the beginning they are so nice and seem genuine but beware. You will feel cared for but again beware. It is a common tactic they use. The common term is "love bomb". They do not tell you everything that is expected of you. They gradually do. In time, they will control your behavior,thoughts,emotions. Remember you may join but you may Never leave. The price will be your family, friends.

Now, I will throw cold water on your delusion before it's too late. The thrill of learning something new is nothing more than an illusion. First, the witlesses have tampered with the Bible so it appears that they are teaching the truth. To start, look at John 1:1. In every other translation, the verse concludes "and the word was God". In the NWT, which you will be using, it is altered to read "and the Word was a god". Just adding "a" changes the meaning, to make the Trinity look like it is not a Bible teaching. Of course, they will say that all other translations are in error.
Worse than doctrinal issues, pretty soon you will find yourself being hounded to start giving talks. Now, a 5 minute talk may not seem like a big deal--until you are hounded to waste several hours getting it "right". You are going to have to throw away most of your records and movies. You will not be able to celebrate the holidays, on the grounds that they are supposedly pagan. You won't even be able to celebrate birthdays because the only two that they recognize in the Bible featured someone getting their heads chopped off. If you are living with someone, you will have to break up or marry legally. If you smoke, you will have to quit. You will not be able to gamble, not even buying the occasional scratch off ticket. You will be hounded to either bring your friends in or dump them.
As if this isn't enough, you will soon be hounded to do "service". You will find yourself knocking on doors. And this is under pressure--no matter how much you do, they want more. At first, it will probably not sound like it. But, trust me--once you are baptized, they really turn up the heat. You will be pressured to commit to at least 50 hours of service time per month--not including the time it takes to meet up for service, or to get to the hall before service. And, if you do not make your time, they will hound you to death. If you do make the time, you will be hounded to do it all the time--and then take the next step and go for 70 hours a month for a whole year at a time. You will no longer be allowed to have a beard (for men) or wear pants while in service (for women). This is not just when the weather is good--you will be out in freezing or sweltering weather (or both), and there will be houndings to continue going out even when you are sick. Once you reach this point, if you decide that it is not for you, there is no turning back.
Besides, would you really want to be supporting a religion that methodically supports pedophiles and silences the victims? Worse, they deny it when confronted about it, while refusing to correct the underlying problem that pedophiles exploit to continue. And, the children do not volitionally present themselves for sex--usually, it is done in one of those hounding calls. The pedophile will trick the parents to allowing himself with the child alone, and then molest the child with force (usually implying that their everlasting life is at stake). If the child reports it, it is classified as "slander" and disfellowshipping is threatened. Silentlambs reports that there are around 25,000 known pedophiles within the organization.
I don't know about you, but I would be terribly embarrassed to be one of Jehovah's Witlesses.
