I think it is a growing problem. Despite official opposition to Facebook and other similar sites, the rank and file have conveniently forgotten such counsel and are joining daily. This isn't necessarily a problem in itself, but it indicates that the r&f either are forgetting or ignoring the counsel they have gotten in the Service Meeting.
From there, it's just an easy few steps to getting onto a site like this.
The problem will grow.

I faded years ago when there was very little information around about JWs. Nowdays it really is easy for anyone to check out if the are being told the whole truth by the WT.
The internet is almost totally responsable for the low increase in numbers and the many tens of thousnds who leave each year.

Yes, the internet is a HUGE problem for the WT society because it's something they " can't control " or stop ! They are all about " information control " and holding power over their members - so when random Jehovah's Witnesses seek out information dissing the WT society OUTSIDE the WT society's own publications ( as they are only counseled to read ) - it can be quite an eye opener and lead to major changes in witnesses thinking and HOW they view the WT society. Which the WT society does not want. But they are powerless to stop the " information age ". The internet is the WT society's worst nightmare ! LOL! Let the nightmares continue ! YES, more people will learn the real truth from here,
that is why many elders constantly warn the pubs. about 'the dangers', 'the pop-ups' and so on.
My wife's CoBoE wrote a letter to the branch in which he said,
"Brother Fokyc spends a lot of time researching on the internet",
then when I gave a brother in the congregation a print out from the jw-media website,
this CoBoE said I had made it up.
In the latest year book the society claims great success with their websites.
A new piece of software, JW-Nanny needs developing so JW's can only use the JW sites!
