I worked on the last nuclear plant just north of Fulton, near Oswego over 25 years ago. You know you are in for a bad winter when you drive by a snowmobile junkyard. 36" of snow was not unusual- for a weeks worth of snow, that is- I think Watertown , NY sometimes gets 10 feet of snow in a season.

The Earth's climate has been changing for about four billion years. For some reason, many people consider this news.
I'm sympathetic to those of you in the South, who aren't use to this and are not equipped for it. I grew up in upstate New York and can handle all sorts of things. People in Seattle can't. Half an inch of snow can paralyze the city. Last year we had two stright weeks of it and it was a total mess.

Where did I miss the memo where a scientist said "due to global warming, it won't get really cold anymore?"
I did get a memo, several years ago, that said "due to global warming, we can expect to see wild weather swings". Didn't everyone get that memo? I'm pretty sure that was sent out back 10 years ago or so.
