    Married....

Your MIL sounds like a real character.

Have you ever read the book 1984? Everyone fell prey to the propaganda. The authorities prided themselves on how the power of dishonest propaganda could control the masses. The rank n file would believe anything they said, even when obviously not true.

An article said Kim Il of North Korea studied the book (in between watching Daffy Duck cartoons) The GB of the JW's must have it in their book bags, because they frequently use the ideas.

    Its just like WTwizzard said.

If its really, really bad, it must be really, really close.

If its really, really good, it must be really, really close.

If the end were near based on that WW2 would have been the time...that's right, Rutherford thought the end was coming in the early 40's.

That WT Farm picture? That was my home for a while.

I was on the landscaping crew for a time, that made that into its present Paradisaic look. If you look closely, you can even see Lions and lambs playing together. lol

They recruit like Tom Sawyer did. Having all these young guys work for free, feeling they should be paying the GB for the priviledge of slaving for them.

"Yes brother GB member, may I have another?!"

dissed - yes i have read 1984 and animal farm! I even studied both for school! I have also read a number of other books that should be recommended reading for any dub like the bible (king james version) and the koran!

As I explained in my introduction the MIL is truely a die hard R&F!!! I once suggested to the MIL that she read animal farm. She point blank refused, (is this on the JW banned literature list?) However I have managed to get her to read the autobiography of Sir Ranulph Fiennes who is a hero of mine! In case you don't know who he is, here is his wiki entry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ranulph_Fiennes

The GB book bag also probably has a copy of mein kampf! Hitler wrote in the book that a small lies are always spotted but a big lies can be believed!

GOVERMENTS HAVE TO TURN ON RELIGIONS FIRST BEFORE THE END COMES FFS!

Well there are some stipulations on whether a man is given the 'privilege. (Congregational standing, great FS reports etc)

At our CA our CO said many were indeed applying and reminded those who were rejected not to give up but to 'reach-out' and re-apply!

There is a saying "if you can p!ss, you can paint!". However having seen first hand a group of university graduates try and paint a flat, I can safely say that saying is a load of rubbish!

a brother with good spritual standing working on a building would be like entrusting an accountant to repair the plumbing! A bad idea!

Actually most men who apply are just trying to enhance their status......(with the ladies first and the other ranking JW men next)

For instance I wasn't suppose to ever get married, while my sister was not to marry anyone below a Bethel Elder and they were expected to SP for at least 2 years after getting hitched (no children)

While the great 'man-shortage' has been raging longer than I have been alive........'good standing' sister can be pretty picky when it comes to JW men. Oddly enough a MS might be overlooked because of his grunt status for a worldly dude with a good job!

The higher up the ladder the more it is about the right appearances at the right time

Think about how silly the "collective sign" of the end is.

It covers every event that can happen on any given day on planet earth from the time the words were uttered.

Just as in the days of Noah:

    1.Marriage and engagements

    2.Eating and drinking

    4.Wars and rumors

5.People talking about Peace and Security

Now, I ask you: When have all these things ever been INapplicable???
