The Dominican Republic says they were the first there....
Rafael Nunez, a spokeswoman for Fernandez, told BBC News that his country was the first to get international assistance when no one was delivering nothing in Haiti. "We set up an emergency operations center in Jimani, on the border, and we are carrying food, mattresses, blankets, water among others.""They were prepared to deliver a million rations of food, so it's a pretty impressive operation," he told BBC News Jasmine Huggins, of the British relief organization Christian Aid.This mobilization of support occurs despite the difficult relations that have traditionally existed between the Dominican Republic and Haiti. One of the sticking points between the two countries is the presence of hundreds of thousands of illegal Haitians in Dominican.

The Cubans say they were the first ones there....
AMN .- In the first critical days after the earthquake that struck Haiti only two American news agencies reported rapid Cuban response to the crisis. One was Fox News, which claimed, wrongly, that the Cubans were absent from the list of neighboring Caribbean countries that had assisted. The other way was the Christian Science Monitor (a respected news agency that recently shut down its print edition), which correctly reported that Cuba had sent 30 doctors to Haiti. The Christian Science Monitor, in a second article quoted Laurence Korb, a former deputy defense secretary and current member of the Center for American Progress, who declared that the U.S., leading the relief efforts in Haiti, they "think use the knowledge of neighboring Cuba, "which, he said," has some of the best doctors in the world - we should try and airlifted to Haiti ".

All these religions are in such a hurry to use the catastrophic loss of life in Haiti as a means to stroke their ego. Very Christian!

The CO repeated this very same claim in his recent visit. Its just sickening to hear this self-agrandizement. You can be sure any team that was sent in was primarily there to assess the damage to their bethel facility and then to the slaves/workers and finally to the rest of the publishers.
