    Never heard of it.

Farkel.....yeah right! One of the most beautiful pieces by Chopin.

One of Rachmaninoffs most beautiful pieces:

I can play a number of western instruments ... but I'd love to be able to play the sitar!

... never heard of this guy, but he is definitely good. My "gold standard" for Chopin is Cortot, though few recordings of any listenable quality exist. Next best is Rubinstein imo.

p.s. ... I mean for Chopin. If the discussion turns to Beethoven piano, it must be Schnabel.

To anybody that doesn't know: Farkel is quite a piano player. In fact, he made up some wonderful music mocking the dubbies at one time, but for reasons of, probably, modesty, he does not share the links with us anymore. Trust me, it's funny as hell, and a real trip down memory lane. I remember well, "Dumbsticks". C'MON FARKEL, LET'S HEAR IT!

Leec, I just posted someone who was exceptional at playing this piece, so many rush through, I thought this guy did a nice job.

I've found that those who learned through the Suzuki method, can play just about anything, but lack a whole lot of soul when playing, and isn't that what music is about?

You can be technically perfect but wind up sounding like a robot. I love to hear personal inflection, even mistakes. I guess that is what intrigues me about the guitar.

I do love the bagpipes. I am told my Great Grandfather played the Galician Bagpipes, called gaita in Galician, exceedingly well.

However, priorities: If I had my way, I'd be regaling you all with a passionately rendered Malaguena on my Spanish guitar.
