Hello and welcome!
Best outcome is that nothing will happen. Worst outcome (?) is that they will deem you to have dissassociated yourself.
Whatever happens - at least you will feel free.
Good luck and good for you.

Hi, and welcome, I`m from England, you know that bit of an island just to the left of Euroland, with a couple of other countries attached, (their names escape me for the moment)
There is a certain pleasure to be found in Disassociating yourself before they can do it, isn`t there?
All the best

Welcome. One more european here, although my country has a name, so you're probably from somewhere else
I decided not long ago, that I will not do absolutely anything about my status as a JW. I see them as crooks with make-believe power, and by abiding their rules I would sort-of dignify their institution. So I will not send a DA letter, I will not respond to any JC they might form, I won't allow two elders in my house (I told them one can come alone if he wishes to chat, I don't want to be rude to them, as persons they're not bad), and if it will come to me being DFd, I will take every occasion to say "hi" to JWs I know Let the rudeness be theirs, I have nothing to do with those rules.
All the while I'm working on separating things I did/didn't do for the religion from things that are in agreement with my conscience, so that I may be truly free from their influence. As a matter of fact I'm contemplating of putting up a christmas tree next year. We'll see.

Hello and welcome, Stimorol, from another fellow European (Madrid, Spain)!
You sound more than ready to set yourself free once and for all! Where did I read lately something like: "10.000 undeniable proofs won't work with somebody who is not ready to face the truth, whereas 10 words will suffice to somebody who is"? In my case, two or three days of research illuminated me like lightning after 45 years loving my religion. You seem to be just as ready.
You are going to love all these wonderful people on board! They cheer me up every day!

There is often a "residual" effect on ones who have left the Jehovah's Witnesses. When we were kids and reading all the JW junk, some stuff gets kind of stuck in our impressionable growing minds. I recommend you to start reading Ray Franz's book Crisis of Conscience. He was a Governing Body member and has left the Watchtower but has exposed so much regarding the inner circle of the organization. Others here will recommend some others books too.
It's wonderful you were able to listen to your gut from such a young age. I ignored my "gut" till around your age now. This site here will help you.
I'm pretty sure the local JW branch office will get a letter from the national registry with my name and "religion change" in the near future. I am wondering about this process?? Why would this registry contact the JW branch?
