  OVER 3000 members of the Jehovah’s Witness religion braced the strong heat at Lawson Tama yesterday morning to hear god’s word delivered through an invited speaker.

  It was an awaited gathering which Witness’s members prepared for in the past weeks.
  
  Guest speaker was Stephen Lett from New York with.
  
  Mr Lett said the message he preached to the crowd is about the humbleness of God.
  
  “Jehovah’s relationship towards Christians is like an internet that links his humble love for everyone,” he said in an exclusive interview.
  
  He said Christians must build a strong relationship with God.
  
  “Christians must understands the quality of Jehovah’s humbleness and be humble like himself, Mr Lett said 1 peter chapter 5; 5 of the bible illustrate the meaning of Jehovah’s humbleness.
  
  He will stay in the country for another three days before leaving for New Caledonia on Thursday.
  
  He will also visit Tahiti and Indonesia before jetting off to New York.
  
  The special gathering is one of Jehovah’s Witness’s important events for this year.
  
  Christians from other denominations also attended the gathering.

  Also, for those of you with Bible references. Is God humble? I know Jesus was humble, like Matt. 11:29, and Jesus washed his disciples' feet, etc and in other Greek/New testament parts. But, is there scripture, like in the Hebrew scriptures/old testament part that speaks of God (Yahweh)as humble? Humble to who?

  Stephan Lett, Governing Body member definition of Jehovah being humble is true only if one limits severely the definition of the word "humble".

  Perhaps in his mind the fact that Jehovah has any dealings at all with mankind is reason enough for Jehovah to wear the badge of humble, or maybe because in the bible Jehovah says: "please" in some places, or had his son die for mankind's forgiveness, these are all valid expressions of humility when looked at from the perspective or rose colored glasses of a groveling worshipper who is taught to view every act of the Most High Deity he worships with love, admiration, and unquestioning loyalty.

  The Governing Body also endorse as fact that God is the personification of LOVE, despite the fact that the bible show him to have a violent temper and has killed many men women and even babies for one reason or another. In the Loyal worshippers mind his God Jehovah can do no wrong, and is always justified no matter how cruel,, those pagans had it coming.

  Jehovah is always the biggest, the greatest, the most humblest, the most deserving of worship and should never be questioned and always obeyed......in the indoctrinated mind of the fearful and loving worshipper, to think other wise brings his wrath, God is always right no matter what.

  I always understood jehovah as a selfish god but deserving of this... so not being humble but just!

  maybe that's the JW thinking kick in.

  kinda like a logical thinking person versus a emotional thinking person... i guess... they both can be loving.

  That has to be newspaperspeak for the fact that it was obvious that some non-JWs were in attendance. That bit of information obviously wasn't released through the WT press office, because, according to the WT Society, people from other denominations are not Christians. The 'true' Christian congregation is made up only of annointed JWs...

  Agreed, these comments about "Jehovah's humbleness" are total falsehood!

  Either that or the speaker is getting closer to realising that Jesus and the Father are truly one :)

  Jesus humbled Himself from equality with God, not the Father!
