would it be fair to summarize your posts as "A false christian is one who does not receive God's spirit?"
Does not... has not... and/or cannot, yes.
In other words, it is not dependent on belonging to any organization.
It absolutely is not.
However, is it possible for true christians that belong to any church group? JWs? Catholics? Baptists? Mormons? Protestants? etc?
It is not. It is possible that one may be CALLED while belonging to such a group, but it is so as to be led OUT:
1 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and thesheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6 [Jesus] used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them. 7 Then [Jesus] said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All who come in place of me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep do not listen to them. 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. 12 But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. 13 The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd; and I know my sheep, and I am known by my own sheep. 15 As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear my voice; and there will be one flock andone shepherd. John 10:1-16
But one cannot be chosen while one is still touching anything unclean:
"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith God Almighty, and touch not the uncleanthing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith God Almighty." 2 Corinthians 6:17
God's spirit is holy... clean. HE is holy and clean. Thus, HE cannot dwell in an unclean thing. Thus, if one is TOUCHING an unclean thing... one becomes unclean by means of such touching... and God's spirit cannot dwell in such one. One has to stop touching the unclean thing. Conversely, if one has received the promised holy spirit, anything such one touches can become clean... if such one wishes it... and God wills it. That is how lepers, etc., became cleansed.. by means of one with holy spirit touching such one. Or being touched by such one (i.e., the woman with the flow of blood). For the blood of the Most Holy One of Israel, which "blood" is His holy spirit... cleanses ALLl that IT touches... if the Most Holy One of Israel so wishes it.
And yes, such groups are unclean. They are... harlots. The "daughters" of Babylon the Great, by means of her fornication with the kings of the earth. Babylon the Great is ALL those who have received holy spirit... or claim to have received it... and yet, do not stay faithful to their husbandly owner, Christ. As HIS Bride, such ones are to follow HIM... and HIS law... as a "wife" is supposed to follow the law of her husband. By following the Law Covenant... and the laws of men (not civil or penal law, but the "laws" set forth by the groups you speak of... their DOCTRINES...)... the commit "spiritual" adultery. And it is from these "adulterous" relationships that such group have sprung. Her "daughters," who share in her culpability:
"BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTSAND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." Revelation 17:5
And THAT is why those who are called to BE chosen are admonished:
"Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues." Revelation 18:4
So many profess to have heard the call to return to God and so go out and join a church, a group, a religion, a belief system, etc. But the "call" is not to go INTO a religion, dear Pirata - it is to come OUT of her! Come out... take life's 'water'... and then follow the One who dispensed it to you FREE... the Lamb... wherever HE goes! Because HE is the Source of TRUE food and TRUE drink... so that we might LIVE. John 6:55
