My mum just got superb new digital hearing aids.
They analyse the sound and boost those your ears are missing. What a difference!
I am sure you will be fine. It is strange though how many people dont want to face up to the fact their hearing is impaired. Eyesight not a problem.....

It's funny how hearing loss creeps up on a person. I have terrible sinus problems, and with forced air heat in the winter, I wake up all stopped up. I discovered that it also effects my hearing when my husband started hiding upstairs from me in the mornings. When I asked him why he didn't want to sit at the kitchen table and talk like we usually do, he said it was because I scream at him every morning. I had no idea that I was screaming at him, but I did wonder why I kept having to ask him to speak up. LOL!

You have already been coping with the loss of hearing... now that you have realized it and have had it tested, now things will get better.
