I know someone else mentioned it on another thread, but I truly think that we might see some kind of software program written by the Bethel computer dept. that controls internet use. Of course, it wouldn't be "required" that you obtain it, but there might be lots of meeting parts and articles about how refreshing such spiritual food is at the proper time, etc., and personal experiences about how it's safeguarded the spirituality, etc.
I also think there'll be a cracking down on associating with "weaker" aka inactive ones (like me).
And watch for more negativity on recreation/hobbies/extra activities as "time wasters" and more suggestions on how to combine recreation with spiritual activities. Oh, and more bad on college. Not sure if they can outright ban it, but watch for it to renewed demonization to the point where it might as well be banned.
Just my two cents, er, two shells.
I can just see the scripture "friendship with the world is means emnity with God" being read and then a question being asked: "If you have a social networking account, how many worldly people do you have on your friends list?"
Lots more criticism of college/university I'm sure.
I'm thinking they will come down hard on social networking sites and unnecessary association with non-JWs. Also, folks will get beat over the head for having doubts and there will be some schpill about leaving when "we are soooooo close". Whatever
It sounds loke it will be a "come to Jesus" meeting.
Just bypassing Jesus.
Sounds like pure genius strategy to keep people wanting to remain in
Here again I have to ask if there is a 'secret apostate' behind such over the top choices?
Okay I could see how easy it would be to sell to the old coots but seriously the tighter they grip the more they will lose and those losses will rise up to bit them in the heiny down the line as certain generations die off. I see how this worked in the 80s but now when a person leaves over control/social issues they end up on sites like JWN and the doctrine dismantling quickly follows.....
If there is a SA in their midst I have to say..."Job Well Done!"......... Keep referencing the old stuff, drive hard the glorification of 'slave' and it's GB, and beat the fellow domestics without let up!
I'm sure these fools will rant and rave and condemn and threaten Armageddon. Other than that, don't expect much change.
They are losing the war. And they are deeply in denial about it.
So, what can they do? Berate young Witnesses even more? Proclaim more rules? Elevate themselves and demand more obedience? Their continuing attempt to micromanage congregations is a fantasy. It's straining out gnats while camels are being swallowed.
The fact is, in recent years, they are very afraid of pointedly discussing severe problems within the organization precisely because it exposes the pretense of their "spiritual paradise". They pull their punches because to do otherwise would damage the facade they carefully maintain.
I say bring it on. Their options for stopping the decay grow more limited with each passing year. They refuse to see that they have created an organization loaded with passive-aggressive resistance. Pressure the elders = fewer elders. Pressure the kids = kids with 'double lives'. Pressure the sisters = more antidepressant use and chronic illness claims.
I would love to hear them 'lose it' in writing these talks and really get nuts. That's the route to pushing the organization over the edge.

Haven't they already done that?
I think they're destroying the facade with their own hands...
I wonder what the releases will be. Maybe...
"Acceptable Dress & Grooming Guide for True Christians"?
A replacement for the "Reasoning" book?
A video for the children to counteract the Disney Princess stuff, something like, "Esther--She Became a Queen and Risked Her Life for God's People... But Don't Have Sex Before Marriage or Marry Outside the Truth or Associate with Worldly People Like She Did"?
