Sphere : when you point out that a number of other groups were NOT teaching similar stuff, and were not teaching the looney stuff at the time or since, you get the deer in the headlights look.

There should be at least one teaching,unique to the group, taught then and still taught now of course, because it is "truth", that convinced Jesus, preferably more than one, one is all I ask.

Just as Terry asks, one FACT from "God's Word" that would convince us of it's validity, just one ! (Jerusalem surrounded by armies is not for sure written before it happened, hardly proof)

It is bumfuzzling that it isn't easy to come up with an instant list of ten quick Divine examples of supernatural knowledge in advance

of technology.

This is quite revealing, in my view.

Look at the mindset in Genesis from the writer's standpoint. The Low Tech Mindset, if you will.

How does god destroy wicked mankind? He drowns them. Low Tech.

How does he punish Egypt? Frogs, Hail, darkness, etc. Low Tech.

How does God transmit his Law to Israel? Volcano, stone tablets, etc. Low Tech.

None of these is beyond the technology of the time even imaginitively.

How did Josuah's army defeat Jericho? Marching and trumpet blowing! Low Tech.

In the Garden of Eden we have Almighty God walking around in the breezy part of the day!!

All Low-Tech and unimaginitive (on the scale of possible imagination) and clearly not SUPERIOR in a divine sense.
