Kinda makes it look like sex for hire arrangement, eh? I hate the words "marital due". Sounds like paying your taxes or something.

Sounds like they're annoyed that they're not allowed to kill family members
Yep. If they could, they would I fear.

...but this is probably the single most bizarre article since the pyramid was in style.
I tend to agree.
Paraphrase: We wish we could stone them but we are restricted by law from killing former believers. We don't agree with the law, afterall they are our own family- we should be able to kill them if we see the need.If adult JW can gain some material aid (money) from the unbeliever, then take advantage of them. Otherwise, shun them. But remember that you are only USING them, don't actually care about them- they are apostate. Marriage mates should prostitute themselves with the apostate in order to keep reaping material benefits that can be passed on to WTS.

What I have always found odd about this QFR (in addition to the obvious) is that the question has nothing to do with disfellowshipping for apostasy.
It's as if one can only be disfellowshipped for apostasy -- but we know that's not the case. Perhaps the author was not paying attention.

UR, you are right. The original question just asks about disfellowshipping. Then they switch to apostasy and the desire to kiil those apostate family members. The old bait and switch game. It has got to be the most bizarre article they have written, as Sapphy said. I remember having a visceral reaction to it when I read it the first time and I never forgot it.

Now. Now. Settle down.
It was just a friendly reminder to all R&F not to murder their apostate family members. It's good to have the FDS refresh our memories.

The purpose of observing the disfellowship order is to make the disfellowshiped one realize the error of his way and to shame him, if possible,
I mean really?
"The law of the land and God's law through Christforbid us to kill apostates, even though they be members of our own flesh-and-blood family relationship
Yes, very bizarre!
