One less Christian apologist to listen to is always a good thing.

I agree, that is why I always expressed MY views and tried to understand those of others, never did you "hear" me say, "you are wrong and I am right".

That's one reason why a mouse is clickable.

Not all posts on this board a original topics. Some have this "weird" way of showing up in the middle of a thread.

Look, I don't mean to be a jacka**, I just have little tolerence for any kind of Christian Apologists. It's one thing to have a strong faith and I admire that, but it is another to try to defend that faith.

Faith is a belief inside and out, and by definition requires NO argument of defense of any kind.

I in NO WAY condone personal attack, like saying you don't love your family or some of the other things that PS has been accused of.

You gotta do what you gotta do.

I've seen alot of praise for your moderate view on this site.

I've seen people criticize you for what they perceive as a "slippery" belief system - your God seems to acrobatically adjust himself to the argument of the moment. It's tough to have a discussion when one part is constantly "moving the goalposts", as it were.

But you can't please all of the people any of time. So you've just got to do what makes YOU happy. Spring's coming.

My advice is to take a break.

But know that you will always be welcome back.

I used to be ultra sensitive to any kind of criticism.

I was shocked by the outspokenness of those on the board.

But of course I was just coming out of the org where no one spoke their mind, only

Watchtower-speak. I was uncomfortable speaking my own mind much less considering the thoughts and ideas of others.

I remember taking a break due to hurt feelings here.

But after a while I needed to talk about a religious issue and these were the only people who could really relate.

I came back on and this time certain people who were rude were gone from the board and so far so good.

So, never say never, just say so long for now is my advice.

    Take care,

    Anewme

Dear PSacramento, I've also read the whole thread that hurt your feelings and I think I know which particular unfortunate sentence cut your heart. I'm sure that poster didn't realize it would offend you the way it did. I've just seen the photograph you posted of you with your wife and your two gorgeous daughters and I don't think anybody could have any doubts about your deep love for the three of them. Yes, I can easily imagine you cuddling up with your daughters in bed and enjoying each second to the full. You are a loving man, no one can question that.

PSacramento, you didn't remember me, but I always remember you. You were the first poster who gave me wise and warm advice.

    Titus,

I am not sure why you don't bring this up with the elders in your congregation, as Jesus said, "the truth shall set you free", in this case I am sure they can set you free of your "concerns".

Do you not Trust your elders?

I shall always remember it. Thank you!

    @Outlaw

Christians can be good people, just like everyone else can, it's when a Christian feels the need to defend their faith is where I draw my line.

Faith is personal, arguing faith is like arguing taste bud differences, it's futile and there is no right or wrong answer.
