And to add PS.....
Recently, someone here questioned my sincerity, insulting me, and suggested for me to leave the forum.
Do I plan on leaving? Not in the near future. As long as I feel I can add some worth to the board, I won't let someone try and control the board to their own way and run me off.
Sometimes, I feel some here are trying to disrupt the board and send people away. I would advise anyone who feels so effected not to give in to such treatment and just ignore them. Don't let them win, the forum needs everyone here to support this unique enviroment our admins have created and the mods are trying to preserve.
I think that there is a little confusion here and it is probably my fault.
My feelings were not hurt in that thread, I was, at best, confused as to why, after I said I disagreed with the OT, I was being "accused" of defending it, when I simple offered a POV base don the "times" it was written in.
I mentioned that post because it was symptomatic of a problem that, to me anyways, has been happening much more than when I started here last year.
I don't want that poster to any poster to think that they are responsible for anything.
This happens to forums from time to time, they just go in directions that not everyone wants to be a part off.
I have seen a tendancy for closed mindedness as of late and the main reason I joined last year was because of how open everyone was.

Indeed.
Ah, Hon, just take a short break.
We'll leave the light on for you.
Love,
Baba.
May you have peace!
I was not, of myself, sure what to say to you here: I of all people can understand how the things people "say" can cause you to ask from time to time, "Why do I even come here? Why put myself through it?" For me, though, the answer is always the same: it isn't about me. It's about those I love: God, Christ... and those they love... some of whom are here. It’s about doing what I can to repay a debt: through Christ, God has granted me His mercy - how can I repay Him? I can't. I don't have a single thing of value that would be of benefit to either of them. Except... perhaps... my demonstrating my FAITH in them... and what they tell me... by sharing it with others. So, I stay and I share.
And everyone "benefits" - God and Christ receive glory... Body members know they are not alone... those who are wanting faith learn they can ask for it... and some do!... and… I get to be a very small part of that, at least as far as it plays out here.
But, again, I didn't know what to say to YOU with specific reference to where you are now, in light of recent discussions that apparently have led you to make this post. And so I had to ask my Lord, the Holy One of Israel, JAHESHUA MISCHAJAH. What do I say, if anything? And he replied and said that I should direct you to the words at Ecclesiastes 7:9, particularly as that verse is set forth in the NWT. It says:
"Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones.”
Now, I need to clarify that he said to use the NWT translation because other versions tend to use the word “angry” versus “offended” and while both are accurate the latter is more accurate in your case. He said that this is because, well, basically, what someone posted ticked you off… and rather than display anger (fight)… you are choosing to take the other “road” and withdraw (flight). He said that that is because you HAVE put anger away, indeed let it alone. It no longer controls you. However, he said the FEELINGS that USED to evoke anger in you have now provoked offense. But this isn’t good either.
He also said that you would initially want to take offense at the word “stupid”… which is what most do: no one wants to be called stupid. He also said that you don’t WANT to BE stupid, however, and so you would reconsider your offense at that… and think about what the verse is saying. And that you would get it.
So, I share it with you. I also share that IF you were a servant of the True God, and thus of His Christ, you would know that a slave is not greater than his master – that if they persecuted him, they will persecute you. It is PROPHESIED… and so to be expected.
And so, I admonish you, because I now know what to say – take your leave, if you must. But do it for the right reason: because your ‘work’ is done here… or there is no further benefit to anyone that you come here. But don’t take it because you’re mad… or hurt. Because you’re anger or pain won’t last forever and at some point you will be back… and then “they’ll” really give you the business (“Oh, he got his feelings hurt and then made some grand farewell – now, look, here he’s back again…” or something of that nature).
I bid you the greatest of love and peace.
YOUR servant and a slave of Christ,
SA

Oh. he IS a servant of God and Christ.
Just check his posts.

My feelings were not hurt in that thread,
This thread evidences the contrary, dear PSacto (again, peace to you!). But it's OKAY to have one's feelings hurt - part of the human experience. It's just, welll... unwise... to get them hurt quickly... and/or to react quickly as a result.
There are those here who are ALWAYS kind, mild, loving. There are those here who are such for the most part. There are those here who are, on occasion, kind, mild, loving. And there are those here who never are. There are those who speak without knowing (most of us)... and those who know... and speak anyway (some of us). We are, all of us, human, yet. Unfortunately. Even you.
Again, take some time off, if you need to... or leave forever, if that's your choice. But whichever you choose, do it for the right reason... and in truth.
Again, I bid you peace.
YOUR servant and a slave of Christ,
SA

Thanks for that clarification, dear Ms. Silvie (peace to you!). I had posted that, at first, and was directd to change it. NOT because dear PSacto is NOT... but so that he would be compelled to think about that... and recall the "torture tree" that comes with that... which he may, in his pain, have forgotten.
Again, I bid you the greatest of love and peace, my sister!
YOUR servant and a slave of Christ,

Christians can be good people, just like everyone else can, it's when a Christian feels the need to defend their faith is where I draw my line.
Faith is personal, arguing faith is like arguing taste bud differences, it's futile and there is no right or wrong answer.

A Christian Defending or Discussing thier faith..
Is not the same as someone who calls themseves a Christian..Cramming thier Beliefs down your Throat..
My friend Aguest/Shelby is very much a Christian..She has no problem that I am not..
There is no conflict with a Real Christian..
There are others who call themselves Christians..
That will go to verbal war with me at every opportunity, over thier beliefs..
They Piss me Off..I don`t like them....
They can all Walk West, till thier Hat Floats!..
