Thanks, Misery, for the detailed description of your neighborhood. Years ago it was like that here, but we get far less snow now. Can't say I miss it though it's exciting and beautiful at first.

Buds came out on a fruit tree outside our house last week.
But, so far, no bud break from the grape vines in Nor Cal wine country.
