You should have said, "Pfft, you're upset over an ordinary cat? Lady, how would you like to have a real pet lion in a paradise earth?! You'll forget all about your stupid little cat in the "New System"!"

Actually that was Jehovah's spirit at work...you just didn't recognize it.

We've all heard the durban tale (durban = dub/urban) about the dog that ran into the invisible wall and couldn't bite the brother at the door...well, this was Jehovah's spirit knowing you were going to call on that house and that cat was hell. It bit, scratched and clawed everything, so Jah saved you from a certain bout of cat scratch fever by killing this cat before you got there.

    Praise Jah, you people.

    It could have been worse....

What if you had run over her cat?

"Sorry about the cat, but would you like to have a Bible study?"

Don't feel too bad we all did things that we are now ashamed of. At least you can cringe over it now, there was a time you would have raised your hand at a meeting and recited this as an example of your persistance in the ministry.

That has all the makings of an EPIC district convention experience. Imagine the applause...

True Nugget the WTS trains people to exploit others,

When you stop and think about it, the biggest aspect of the WTS. is exploitation.

They exploit the bible, the belief in the bible, current world events, fear, insecurity and the list goes on.

As I look back, we were all no different than any other zealots of any other cult.

We shouldnt continue to blame and beat ourselves over stupid things we did and said while under the spell of the cult.

We took steps to get out and get away from it. That took courage.

Pat yourselves on the back that your are here and speaking out against the brainwashing and control that still has millions in its grip.

Not quite the same, but in the same vein...

After years and years of "Good morning, we're sharing a thought" yada yada, I once did EVENING witnessing (actually dark outside) and promptly started off with Good morning...sheesh Talk about programmed...

On cat stories has anyone heard this one it may be an urban myth, in fact it probably is but it is still good.

A brother leaving the service hit a cat with his car. He looked in the mirror and saw the cat lying on the sidewalk, knowing that he had hit it really hard and it must be suffering he mounted the kerb and drove over it again to put it out of it's misery. Shaken he then drove off and went home. Half an hour later the police knocked on his door and asked him if he had been involved in an incident earlier in the day. He told them about the cat and how sorry he was but he was so upset he just had to come home.

The policemen told him they had been contacted by an old lady who had seen the incident. She had seen one of her cats hit by the car whilst her other cat was sleeping in the sun on the sidewalk. To her horror she had then seen the same car reverse down the road and run over her other cat. She took note of the registration and rang the police straight away. When they examined the car together the first cat was wedged under the wheel arch.
