Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting the wt has been anything other than what it is, but the more I read JWN I have to ask WHAT HAPPENED TO THESE PEOPLE?
Thirty years ago I would have attempted to engage in a bible centered disscusion with someone, not call them names, infere they were going to be bird food, they were stupid, or any other negtive in your face attitude of "eat shit and die" Geez, what a bunch of whack jobs...

Quentin makes an excellent point. Just goes to show that most of the people in now (at least the kids-30's?) don't take a whole lot of pride in their religion or really have much of a foundation to believe in. They are just repeating the stuff they've been told and living the way they are told with no real meaning. That says a lot imo about the state of this religion at the present and who's left to keep it going. Very interesting.
