Porn is pure laziness and it leads to a really detached objectifying of the "other" as a utility.
Pornography in the 50's was rather quaint and silly. Porn in the 60's had "redeeming social values" and porn in the 70's usually had a plot and a sense of humor.
The advent of porn on the Internet is the death of creativity even in its lowest expression. Just as a dog pees on a tree to relieve itself the man uses the Internet partner as some sort of target for his sang froid jollies.
Young men growing up watching porn learn their world view of women (and the role of the woman in serving THEIR NEEDS) as a terminus for emptying their seminal vesicles and little else.
Need to blow your nose? Grab a Kleenex. Got the snot out? Wad up the Kleenex and throw it away.
For sex you substitute the woman for the Kleenex and one bodily fluid for another!
Is this humanity?
We have generations of young men who don't wash their hands after they use the bathroom.
Theydon't know how (or care to) iron their own clothes or do laundry.
They eat hotpockets instead of a healthy meal.
They live on the Internet and substitute chatrooms and text messages for actual Society of fellow human beings.
They wake up with an automatic boner and plug-in some anonymous image of a woman only to shut her off (when done) as they move on to video games where they endlessly (virtually) kill zombies and crash cars!
They are deeply cynical, critical and superior (in their own mind) to everybody and everything of which they are a critic.
Men deeply fear women and seek to impress and dominate them.
Why? They've lost the reason why they are human and why that even matters.
This is humanity?
Our family unit has crashed and there is NO REBOOT!
Pornography is merely the symptom of a deeper catastrophe! We've unlearned how to be loving, caring and connected in a non-exploitative way from childhood on up.
I blame males! Women are still (as a group) more civilized than men. (Always have been.)
Where women go terribly wrong is in not realizing they hold all the power (over men) if only they'd use it intelligently to build a better world.
And that's all I have to say about that!
