I love how some creationists insist that the dinosaurs not only lived at the same time as humans, but also survived the Flood on the Ark. As if the Ark weren't incredibly cramped already with species (oops, I mean kinds) living in the present day, they also carried extinct species like enormous "dinosoars". Why stop there? Why stop only with the Mesozoic fauna? Why not include all those giant animals (and smaller ones) that those wily zoologists evolutionarilistically place into the Cenozoic and Paleozoic eras? I think, again, we should start thinking of the Ark as a hyperdimensional spaceship capable of comfortably stuffing every kind of animal (how much post-Flood evolution did the giant dinosoars undergo if only "kinds" were brought on board?) that ever existed on the face of the earth, as well as distributing them safely all over the world to isolated habitats. See my many posts exposing the truth about the GOPHER 3000.

The Dinosaurs are mentioned in the bible. Leviathan, Behemoth.

Dinosuars are mentioned through out history. During the middle ages the knights fought

the dragons. The dragons were the dinosaurs. The dinosaurs were killed off, just like man kills

everything else off. Plus the earth changed after the flood so their habitat wasnt as supportive

    or friendly to them.

There are arguments and evidence for an old earth and a young earth. It just depends on what you want

to believe. I just finished reading Dawkins greatest show on earth and it is very similar

to the book " I dont have enough faith to be an Atheist" The same topics and material is

discussed with different conclusions drawn. Both sides draw their conclusions based

on faith. Read Dawkins I have and do.

I choose to have faith in a designer. I hope he is loving and kind and not a mad computer programmer.

    But I still see design.

    Oh, for Pete's sake... Not THIS specious argument, again!!! I sent a complimentary message to a YouTube chick with a cute bird; said something to the effect that it's fun to think about the possibility of a T-Rex dancing like her cockatoo;

So she sends back this brain-dead response: "And dinosaurs evolved from a rock! Lol! Did you know the Bible talks about dinosaurs? It calls them dragons though, not dinosaurs."

Same sh*t, different day... Here's my responxe to such idiocy...:

"And the bible is only 3,500 years old... Besides, any group that is totally ignorant as to what an erupting volcano IS - including their 'god' = see Exodus 19: 16-19 = and the idiot 'Moses' drew the people to the foot of the erupting volcano... Talk about a bunch of ignorant, superstitious Middle-Eastern sheepherders...

You wrote: "And dinosaurs evolved from a rock!..." No. Most definitely not. They are FOUND in rocks, as fossils... As to the bible talking about "dinosaurs" - no, the bible is most definitely NOT referring to dinosaurs, especially since it calls them "dragons"... That "dragon" mythology probably migrated from China via the trade routes which brought silk into the Middle East. In China the 'existence' of "dragons" in mythology was very common. Of course, the Chinese 'dragons' were their animistic explanation for natural phenomena, especially that of earthquakes... The Assyrians and Babylonians also believed in dragons, as they were part of their so-called 'pagan' mythology, also. And since many of those civilizations are FAR OLDER than the bible, one can get a clue as to who borrowed the mythology of 'dragons' from the so-called "pagans"...

As a matter of fact, many "Pagan" beliefs are incorporated into the bible - the worship of the bronze snake on a pole; the "twelve tribes" of Isra-EL, which, when you compare the symbols of these "twelve" tribes, you realize that the Isra-EL-ites were using the TWELVE SIGNS OF THE ZODIAC as the symbols of their "twelve" tribes; [check the Chinese and Egyptian zodiacs, in addition to the 'modern' ones, to get the full picture]...

"Leviathan" and "Behemoth" have alternately been viewed as referring to: crocodiles, hippos, and mythological beings... See Leolaia's comments - among others - on the potential sources for biblical references to those two beasts... I would also suspect that river sturgeon, giant catfish, whales, sharks, and other such beasties may have served as inspiration for the superstitious, ignorant Isra-EL-ites' mythology...

Saddam Hussein tried to prove a negative and he ended up getting hung on the gallows, because he couldn't prove he didn't have any WMD's- so President Bush invaded Iraq and the rest is history. When it comes to the Flood of Noah, it usually comes down to trying prove it didn't happen the way The fundies say it happened on the Ark. Of course that is an easy out for them.

Today I picked up some boxes of childhood stuff from my sister and I went through them and one was a newspaper clipping of a supposed still-living dinosoar in Africa, that a JW sister sent me and it is scribbled with her comments about how the Bible refers to dinosoars in Job. I thought, how pertinent to this thread.

(Yes I'm misspelling teh word dinosoar intentionally)

Does anyone realize that dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible? God told us he created all the beast of the field didn't need to

    mention dinosaurs seperatly.

Then they aren't really mentioned are they.

One they were on the Ark, so those not on the Ark were destroyed. Two we have Nimrod mentioned as being a great hunter. He would have only had to kill the female and destroy all her eggs.

Then dinosaurs would have been gone.

Good thing Noah went to the trouble of preserving them on the ark, only for them to be wiped out a short time later.

Doesn't the old (pre-1984) JW Bible show a 400 mile tall dinosaur trompin' thru Africa?

By God, there's all the proof I need right there!
