I'd fall asleep. Then I'd be woken abruptly and I could spend some time trying to hide the drool on my lapel coat. I was so bored I actually cracked open the Bible and started reading. Then I'd be lectured for not paying attention to the speaker. I'd really try to focus on what he was saying, but it would always be nonsense, so I'd fall asleep. Rinse and repeat for 23 freaking years.

I never got bored at the meetings, because I was always nervous about whether my crazy jw husband would do something terrifying like drive into oncoming traffic on the way home or beat the hell out of me when we got home.
