People are much more enlightened today than ever in history. Medicine is better and people are living longer. People are getting along better now than ever before because of laws for social behavior, like civil rights. Building laws that are suited to weather and climate and geological forces have been in place for a while now and are saving lives. Laws on how to treat people are in place and have made domestic violence a crime. Countries are getting along better because of the Geneva Convention. The world has never been better than it is now.

If one wantsto use 2 Tim. 3: 1-5 as a prophecy, they aren't dealing with what it actually was written for, check when it was written, it was written in a time when there was mcuh problmes in the Jewish world, people were being stressed by Rome and the possibllity of war with Rome and having to deal with zealots of variou kinds. That is what it was written for. Not for our day, remember it was a personal letter, not a prophecy of something that might happen 1900 plus years later. Paul did say you Tim you know 1900 plus years or so from now check thsi out and he wrties and sends to tim 2Tim.3:1-5. At least that is my thoughts on it, saying it was a prophecy for our time is ridiclous.
